People Skills: Eight Essential People Skills
Being able to communicate effectively with others requires people skills, and here's eight essential ones:
1. Understanding people
People not only come in all shapes and sizes, but they come with different personality types as well. You may want to brush up on how to communicate with the four main personality types by reading this article. Indeed, dedicated students of communication could do little better than purchase Bem Allen's excellent introduction to personality types, 'Personality Theories'.
People are individuals, with as many similarities from one person to the next as differences. To communicate most effectively, each will require you to communicate with them in their own individual preference style, using their language, their body gestures, and their pace and intonation.
So how do you find out how best to communicate with someone? Spend time with them! Don't expect to meet someone off the street and talk intimately with them within a minute. Understanding a subject takes time -- whether that subject is an academic one or another human being.
2. Expressing your thoughts and feelings clearly
Our brains can only take so much information in at any one time. We are bombarded with messages every second of the day, so to compete with the barrage of 'noise' a person faces, your message needs to be clear, succinct and to the point.
It is very worthwhile taking time to plan your communication -- no matter by what method it is delivered -- to ensure that you are taking the least amount of time to express the right level of thought in the most receptively simple manner.
3. Speaking up when your needs are not being met
Just as important in business relationships as in domestic ones, speaking up to ensure that your needs are met is a fundamental part of any relationship.
You may wish to read this article on assertive, not aggressive, communication, but in a nutshell there are six different ways you can be assertive and not aggressive in your communication: by rehearsing your behaviour prior to the communication; by repeating your communication (the 'broken record' technique); fogging; asking for negative feedback; tentative agreement with negative feedback; and creating a workable compromise.
Assertiveness is a useful communication tool. It's application is contextual and it's not appropriate to be assertive in all situations. Remember, your sudden use of assertiveness may be perceived as an act of aggression by others.
4. Asking for feedback from others and giving quality feedback in return
Alongside assertiveness techniques, the giving and receiving of feedback is a key communication skill that must be learnt if you want to have any hope of developing long-term business relationships..
Toastmasters International teach a useful feedback and critical review technique -- first give a sincere compliment, follow this with any practical suggestions for improvement, then wrap up with further sincere praise. It is known as 'CRC', or 'Commend, Recommend, Commend', a three-step model for excellence in giving quality feedback.
Remember, too, that truthfulness is a subjective view. What you may find distasteful in someone may be equally desirable from another's point of view. As I learnt, by living through a series of IRA atrocities in England and watching the US political and media reactions, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
5. Influencing how others think and act
We all have the opportunity to influence how others think and act. All the way from Cialdini's Persuasion principles down to simple violence (of a verbal or physical nature), we are daily able to shape the thoughts and actions of those around us.
From something as simple as smiling and saying, "Hello!" as a way of influencing someone's mood, to leading by example during an intense period of change, there are many ways of either leading to or drawing out of others required behaviours and attitudes.
Remember that an attitude leads to an emotion, which in turn leads to an action. Shape the attitudes and you have a more reliable way of predicting actions.
6. Bringing conflicts to the surface and getting them resolved
I confess: I'm not a 'natural' at handling conflict. It's taken marrying into an existing family of three children to help this only child come to terms with conflict.
It's taken me three years of living in my family to realise it's possible to co-exist in conflict and not get personally involved. But it wasn't an easy lesson to learn, I can tell you!
But being a step-father to teenage children has helped me learn the importance of bringing conflicts and resentments to the surface where they can be more easily managed.
Your employees might be harbouring secret resentments of you, and unless you find out what they are, bring these 'dark secrets' out into the light of day, you are never going to be able to successfully deal with them.
It's embarrassing, potentially humiliating and requires a strong level of patience not to launch straight into a defensive mode, but giving people the opportunity to express their concerns, disappointments and anger, face-to-face, gives you tremendous opportunity to put things right, or help them see where their thoughts and feelings are misplaced.
7. Collaborating with others instead of doing things by yourself
I'm a shocker at this, but learning to delegate and share has been instrumental in growing my own business.
The quickest way of burying yourself in excess detail and workload is to try and do everything yourself. Yet sharing the workload can be the smartest thing you will ever do. Here's why:
'Leverage'.
Leverage is taking your skills and abilities and allowing others to magnify your work capacity. You train them to do what you do and you do something else.
One bricklayer can only lay a certain number of bricks in an hour, but that same bricklayer can train 15 mates to lay bricks and suddenly those 15 bricklayers are building monuments while the first bricklayer is out securing more work for them.
While the 15 are laying bricks, the original bricklayer can be learning how to perform advanced bricklaying, or learn sales strategies, or learn supervision skills.
The lesson is simple: try and do it all yourself and the 'all' will bury you; teach others to do what you do and you build a monument.
Jesus taught 11 men how to do what he did. Then he left them to carry on while he moved on to other things. From the simple act of one man teaching 11 others, a church and the largest, most influential religious movement the world has ever known was born.
8. Shifting gears when relationships are unproductive
Sometimes you need to walk away. Sometimes you need to jettison unhealthy cargo. And sometimes you need to take drastic steps to regain balance and momentum.
'Shifting gears' can be as simple as changing the venue of your supervision meeting from a dark office to a nearby cafe. Sometimes it can be moving the meeting from straight after lunch to first thing next morning, when clearer heads might prevail.
Sometimes it can mean increasing the level of assertiveness in order to ensure the point you are making is being received. Sometimes it might mean bringing others into the meeting so that the other person understands the implications of their attitudes or actions.
And sometimes it can mean helping them find a more meaningful and satisfying role outside of your sphere of influence.
As a management psychologist I clearly remember one organisation I consulted to: the only way out of a staff impasse was to remove the impediments to progress. Which meant helping key protagonists find new work outside of the organisation. Sometimes culture change can only be effected in a quick way by bringing in an entire new team and throwing away the dead wood. But only as a last resort.
Conclusion
The whole idea of being people skilled is knowing or finding how to bring out the best in others in any situation, rather than their worst. By mastering these eight essential people skills you dramatically increase your chances of achieving the best outcomes out of your interactions and business challenges.

The Top Ten Best Tourist Spots in Italy
Italy is one of the most popular places to visit in the world. It's a favorite of millions of tourists worldwide. And who can blame them? Nobody can resist the charms of Italy's culture and architecture. This boot-shaped country was, after all, the home of the Legendary Romans and the Heroes of the Renaissance. Indeed, if you're going to go to Italy, be prepared to have your breathe taken away by the sheer beauty of the place.
1.) The Coliseum
No other civilization in the world could top the Romans in terms of strength and power, and indeed, the Romans practically conquered the world. And for their entertainment, the Romans had the world. They had the Coliseum where the prizes of their conquests, lions and other exotic animals were made to battle with the gladiators. Indeed, if you stand within the walls of this gigantic complex, you can almost feel the spirit of celebration that once rang through the place.
2.) Piazza Campidoglio
The Piazza Campidoglio, or the Capitoline Hill, was the seat of power of the Ancient Romans. And up until today, it still stands as Italy's center of politics. It holds the famous statue of Castor and Pollux and various structures designed by the great Michaelangelo himself like the double staircase and other buildings.
3.) The Roman Forums
Also, there's nothing more exhilarating than to visit the place where democracy was born. The Roman Forums, where the Roman senate once held their heated debates discussing everything from large-scale wars to petty squabbles, are also popular tourist attractions. Here, you can find the Forum of Caesar and the Forum of Trajan, and there's also the Palatine Hill and all the other temples dedicated to the various gods and goddesses of the ancient Romans.
4.) The Pantheon
The Pantheon is one of the best places that you can visit in Rome. It's teeming with beautiful architecture, beautiful sculptures, and beautiful statues. This magnificent building is also the home of the grave of the famous painter, Raphael.
5.) The Trevi Fountain
This world renowned fountain is famous for its sheer beauty and size, and it features several sculptures, including one of Neptune coming out from underwater, riding on a sea shell that's drawn by two horses with wings. It's featured in Dan Brown's famous novel, the Da Vinci Code. Also, toss a coin into it while facing away from it and it is said that you will be guaranteed a return to the great city.
6.) The Grand Canal in Venice
There's nothing more Romantic than going on a boat ride through the famous canals of the floating city of Venice. These quixotic canals are featured in various movies and are a favorite of newlyweds all over the world. It's also a great way to take in all the sights of the beautiful city.
7.) The Sistine Chapel
The Vatican, though it's considered as an independent country in itself, is still found in the heart of Italy. And, there, you'll find the great Sistine Chapel where extraordinary pieces of art can be found. There, you'll see the works of Michelangelo and Botticelli.
8.) St. Peter's Basilica
Also, if you're a fan of great architecture, you will have to see the famous St. Peter's Basilica. It's the largest Catholic Church in the whole world, and it's simply teeming with beautiful paintings, frescoes, and statues. You can also see this Basilica's famous dome which is literally filled with works of art.
9.) St. Peter's Square
And of course, if you're going to St. Peter's Basilica, you might as well walk a few steps to get to St. Peter's Square. This beautiful plaza is designed by the famous artist Bernini. It is also featured in Dan Brown's novels.
10.) The Vatican Gardens
The Vatican Gardens as beautiful as they are large. This grand paradise is filled with beautiful sculptures, fountains, and flowers. It's a great place for sightseeing and picture-taking.

Feng Shui Enhancements in The Year of the Water Dragon
On Monday 23rd January we celebrate the Chinese New Year. Many people think the Chinese New Year is when the animal signs change but in actual fact this change always happens on the first day of Spring which this year will be the 4th February. As we move from the year of the Metal Rabbit to the year of the Water Dragon I thought that it would be a good time for me to look forward and see what we can expect to see happening in the world in 2012. From a Feng Shui perspective the movement from one animal sign to another always provides some great opportunities to realign the energies in your home, so in this article I will also share with you some of the actions that you can take to ensure that the year ahead is as positive and as beneficial for you as it possibly can be.
The year of the dragon traditionally is a very auspicious year bringing as it does the four blessings of the east which are wealth, virtue, harmony and longevity. This year in the world in general we can expect a better year financially than the tumultuous times seem in 2011. The worst of the world's financial crisis seems to be behind us now and many economies are once more likely to see the start of growth and new optimism, although don't expect fortunes to change overnight. Eastern economies are likely to grow much stronger and quicker than those in the west. Improvement overall will start slowly from around the end of spring 2012 and as we move through the year confidence will grow and we can expect to see the start of a long but sustained period of financial growth.
Though financially we are unlikely to see dramatic changes, a dragon year often signifies momentous change and this year will be no exception. The water dragon is a calmer, quieter animal than some of it's siblings so even though momentous events are likely to occur expect them to slip under the radar, or happen very quickly with the minimum of fuss. We are certainly unlikely to see the conflicts that we saw in 2011. In saying that, expect some traditional or long serving governments to fall this year, and expect those that replace them to be led by new governments or structures that put the family and traditional values at the heart of everything they do. New governments or rulers that begin this year are likely to be in power for a long time, the last year of the water dragon saw the start of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II which is still going strong 60 years later.
In this year of the water dragon there will be a general sense of optimism and an emphasis that anyone can achieve anything. People power will topple one long standing family ruler in a country but not in the way that was seen in 2011. It is likely to be a very quick process that ends almost before it begins. We are also likely to see the formation of a new major charity or charitable event this year, one which has a global reach and could well start to change the world.
As far as the natural world is concerned in 2012 there is a high likelihood, unfortunately, that we will see more natural disasters. I predict that major flooding will affect two major cities or countries this year and later in the year the world will see ferocious tropical storms that are stronger than many yet experienced. A major relief effort will need to start this year which is likely to be led by a group of people rather than by a government. With the stronger sense of optimism in the financial markets we can also expect to see some of the wealthiest individuals in the world make some major philanthropic gestures to support those most in need.
Turning our attention to an individual level, the year of the water dragon is a good time to start a new business, begin a new relationship, get married or learn a new skill. Businesses, alliances and learning are likely to succeed and have long lasting benefits, providing that careful thought and planning has gone in to them. Dragon years can be rocky years for the unwary so do not try a get rich quick scheme or get married on the spur of the moment. This is definitely a year for slow and steady accumulation not speculation.
To make the most of the opportunities that the year of the water dragon is going to bring, there are a number of Feng Shui enhancements you can make in your own home. When enhancing your home through Feng Shui always make sure that any cure or enhancement you put in place does not negatively affect the existing flow of energy around your home and is placed with intention. My web pages on Intention and Chi will help you understand these practices if you are uncertain.
Feng Shui Enhancements for the Year of the Water Dragon
Welcome in the year of the water dragon by hanging a wooden wind chime in the east or north east of your garden. Other enhancements you can make to this area of your garden are to place a picture or a statue of a dragon or to plant a fruit tree (cherry, plum or peach are best)
If you do not have a garden you can hang a picture of a dragon, or place a small dragon ornament in the east or north east area of your home. If you are placing a dragon ornament it is best if it made out of crystal, wood, stone or ceramic.
If you are starting a new business enhance the career and knowledge areas of your home this year. These areas are in the north and north east of your home. Good enhancements to make in the career area include placing a small indoor fountain, hanging a picture of a stream or waterfall or placing a small crystal dragon in a prominent place. In the knowledge area a stone or ceramic dragon, a small indoor garden or a square bowl filled with carnelian crystals can be beneficial.
If you are getting married this year create a small display in your relationship area filled with plants, candles and crystal dragons. The relationship area is the south west area of your home. A beautiful indoor garden can be created filled with miniature roses, two pink candles and two small crystal dragons. Scatter rose quartz or amethyst crystals across the surface of your indoor garden and after you are married place a small photograph of your wedding day in the centre. Not only will this help your relationship be everlasting but it will also serve as a lovely reminder of your special day for years to come.
If you are beginning a new course, learning a new skill or taking qualifications this year you can help this area of your life by placing a ceramic or stone dragon in the knowledge area of your home (the north east area), or in your study or the room where you learn. Other enhancements you can make to this area this year are buying a pot plant which is displayed in this area of your home or filling a bowl with crystals and placing this on your desk. Excellent plants to buy for this area of your home are indoor plants that flower in the spring and the best crystals to use in this area are Green Fluorite, Carnelian or Amethyst.
I hope that you have found this article useful and are looking forward to the year of the water dragon with positivity and optimism. All that is left for me to do is to wish you a happy new year and to hope that this year brings everything you hope for.

23 Tell-Tale Signs That Your Husband or Wife May Be Cheating on You Right Now
"Is my partner cheating on me?"
If you are asking yourself this question, there may already be a problem.
The following is a quick guide to help you determine if your spouse or love interest is cheating on you. After reading this list you may find there is some area of concern. Do not confront the cheater, this will only cause them to clean up their act and make it more difficult for you to catch them in the act and you may not have enough proof to make your case. I would urge you to seek professional help.
Some interesting statistic about cheating husbands and wives:
o 22 percent of married men have strayed at least once during their married lives.
o 14 percent of married women have had affairs at least once during their married lives.
o Younger people are more likely candidates; in fact, younger women are as likely as younger men to be unfaithful.
o 70 percent of married women and 54 percent of married men did not know of their spouses' extramarital activity.
o Cheating spouse statistics confirm that 50 and 70 percent of married men (between 38 and 53 million men) have cheated or will cheat on their wives. One study found that 2/3 of the wives (26 to 36 million women) whose husbands were cheating had no idea their husbands were having an affair - largely because they failed to recognize the telltale signs.
Most cheating wives and husbands fall into two categories. One involves an individual who is married and is seeing someone behind the spouse's back. The second involves two married individuals who are having an affair with one another; both couple's partners are usually unaware of this deception.
Cheaters generally rendezvous with their lover sometime during their work day. In most cases, the cheater and their paramour live or work in the same general area. This gives them time and opportunity to carry on their secretive behavior without threat of being discovered by their partner or coworkers. You will also find that they try and control all information that you get concerning their daily whereabouts. They will deny everything unless confronted with hard proof about their indiscretions.
Cheating basically involves many lies. Cheaters are always lying about where they are, what they do, and how they really feel. These lies are often mixed with some truth and are incorporated into every aspect of their life that they will share with you. Lies and deception can only go on for so long before noticeable clues start to poke holes in the façade that they have created.
Here are some tried and tested clues or "signs" that cheating men and women most often exhibit:
o Your partner has had a history or prior instance of infidelity. This falls under the "if it has happened before it is likely to happen again" rule. Those men and women who have cheated once will generally relapse.
o Your partner has been spending a lot of time lately working out or in the tanning salon cultivating their appearance.
o Your spouse seems to act more cold and or distant and inconsiderate of your feelings.
o You receive hang up calls at home in the middle of the night or at odd times of the day.
o You start receiving a lot of wrong number calls at home.
o Your partner is spending a lot of time on the phone away from you out of ear-shot.
o You walk into a room and your girlfriend or boyfriend suddenly hangs up the phone or acts odd. Your partner may also leave the house or room to talk on their cell phone.
o Your partner hides their cell phone bill from you or is very protective of the bill when it arrives in the mail.
o Your cheating boyfriend or girlfriend has secretly purchased a new cell phone.
o Your partner receives suspicious voicemail messages.
o You discover unfamiliar numbers stored or dialed on your partner's cell phone.
o Your partner has recently started using phone cards.
o Your partner seems to never answer their cell or home phone in a timely manner when you try to reach them by phone during the day. If they do answer, they seem to be very evasive with you and not truthful about their current whereabouts. They may tell you that they have been having cell phone problems.
o You begin noticing your partner lying to you about insignificant things.
o Your partner has suddenly stopped complaining about things in their relationship with you that have bothered them in the past.
o You notice a new cologne/ perfume or sexy clothing in places like your partner's vehicle.
o Your partner has a secret P. O. Box that they are hiding from you.
o You discover unfamiliar earrings or jewelry show up in your husband or wife's vehicle or somewhere in your home.
o Your partner's confidence level seems to have risen considerably for no apparent reason.
o Your partner has found reasons not to attend family or holiday gatherings.
o Your partner starts having their laundry handled independently.
o You notice new cologne or perfume scents on your partner's clothing.
o Your partner seems to have started acting in a paranoid manner. This may include such behavior as your partner inquiring if you have been "snooping" on them.
Did you recognize some familiar behaviors or clues from the list? If your husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend is cheating on you it is not your fault. Maybe it's time you let a professional private investigator find out what is really going on with your spouse or partner. You deserve to know the truth!
If you do not know a private investigator in your area who you can trust, contact us via our website at http://www.compasspointpi.com and we can refer you to a local professional who will treat you with dignity and respect, answer your questions, and help you obtain the proof you need to make an informed and intelligent decision.

What is the Meaning of Each Finger For Rings?
Today we see kids and teens wearing earrings in all sorts of places and rings on all fingers and even the thumb. Its certainly more of a fashion statement for most people, but have you ever wondered: what is the meaning of each finger for rings?
Wearing a ring often communicates some sort of message to oneself and to the world. Because the left brain is responsible for logic, and controls the right hand, it is reasonable to assume wearing a ring on the right hand represents conscious logical awareness and a desire to control one's life and actions. Since the right brain controls the left hand and creativity, rings on the left hand represent beliefs, creativity, and attitudes. Wearing a ring on any particular finger is usually associated with a desire to increase the power associated with that finger.
The Thumb - The Meaning of the Thumb for Rings: Will Power - The thumb represents the logic and will power thinking of our being which controls our actions. The thumb is independent from the other fingers and is perhaps the single most important finger while working together as a team with the rest of the hand. It is figurative of strength and symbolizes independent thought and freedom.
The Index Finger - The Meaning of the Index Finger for Rings: Authority & Ambition - This finger represents our need to increase our ego and establish authority and power. It is also associated with leadership and ambition. Kings, priests and healers wore rings on the index finger because that finger was thought to be especially powerful. People often wear a ring on their index finger to demonstrate assertiveness, or power.
The Middle Finger - The Meaning of the Middle Finger for Rings: Identity & Materialism - Being the tallest finger, the middle finger is associated with our purpose in life. Also the center of the hand, it represents personal identity and those things that are most important to us. People who wear a ring on their middle finger often desire to be the center of attention.
The Ring Finger - The Meaning of the Ring Finger for Rings: Emotion, Creativity & Heart: Wearing a ring on the "ring" finger represents a connection to the heart, as it is thought to be closely related to the artery that goes to the heart. It is associated with our feelings of affection and love. It is also representative of our creativity and artistic self. Wearing a ring on this finger on the left hand represents to others a betrothal to the giver of the ring and a commitment of faithfulness. If the ring was purchased by the wearer, it represents self-love and self-worth and belief in talent.
Little Finger - The Meaning of the Little Finger for Rings: Relationships: Rings on the little or pinky finger represents confidence in business and personal relationships. It is a symbol of strength and bonding towards others. Being opposite to the finger of independence, it is related to our attitudes towards other people, intimacy, and the material world, since it faces the world, and watches our back, as our friends do. It also expresses a person's attitude towards themselves and their own attractiveness.Wearing a ring is a distinction of honour, but wearing many rings is usually a sign of someone who wants to attract attention to themselves, however many rings are a detraction from the personality, and perhaps a sign of low-self confidence. Hopefully we have helped you to understand what is the meaning of each finger for rings.

How to Plan a Wedding - Step by Step Guide
Planning a wedding can be a daunting and very stressful task. We highly recommend you take six months to a year to plan your wedding and will outline for you an easy-to-follow schedule.
Twelve months before the Wedding
Get yourself a binder with paper and dividing tabs.
Discuss with your fiancé and his/her families, plus your own, to determine a budget.
Decide on your wedding theme e.g. Christmas, Fall, Snowflakes, Black and White, etc.
Select a wedding date with your fiancé and families.
Decide on your wedding attendants.
Book a ceremony and reception location(s).
Book your professional wedding photographer, florist, caterer, videographer, and DJ or wedding musicians.
Nine months before the Wedding
Make an appointment with your officiant. For most religious ceremonies, you may be required to attend pre-wedding counseling. For civil ceremonies, your officiant may require a meeting to discuss your wedding ceremony.
Wedding gown shopping and first fittings should be looked after at this time.
Shop for your wedding accessories, wedding veil or head piece, and wedding shoes.
Begin preparation of the guest list. Be sure to include both sides of the family as guest lists are often a contentious issue. It will take time to decide on long lost cousins, work friends, neighbors, etc.
Decide on gift registry locations and register.
Begin your search for your honeymoon location. If you are getting married during a peak holiday season such as Christmas, you may need to book your honeymoon up to nine months in advance.
Six months before the Wedding
You need to meet with the wedding professionals who will assist you on your special day. The menu should be mapped out with your catering company, a review of requested wedding photos with your photographer, a discussion with your videographer on the amount of footage and locations for videos, and your preference for music with your DJ or wedding musicians.
Limousines and/or other wedding transportation should be booked. Wedding carriages or winter horse drawn sleighs should be booked and pricing confirmed.
If you are ordering wedding invitations and/or save the date cards and wedding announcements, you need to decide on a provider. If you are making your own wedding invitations and other wedding stationery, you should choose a wedding invitation kit template package. Announcements should be sent out to those friends and family who you have not included in the ceremony.
Honeymoon trip should be booked and final budget plans for the honeymoon confirmed.
Bridesmaids and Flower Girl dresses should be decided upon and ordered.
Start shopping for wedding rings.
Three months before the Wedding
Guest list needs to be finalized by you and your fiancé and BOTH families. We can't emphasize enough that you need to have the blessing of all concerned when it comes to the guest list.
Final decisions and ordering of wedding rings.
Visit hairstylist for a consultation and have your first wedding day hair run through.
Make wedding day appointment with hairstylist. Don't forget to include your bridesmaids if they are having their hair professionally styled for your wedding.
Research and review state requirements for blood tests.
Research, review and book hotel rooms for out of town guests who may require accommodation.
Follow up on your wedding gown and confirmation of delivery dates for your gown and those of your attendants.
Attend your first wedding gown fitting including all accessories and shoes.
Six to eight weeks before the Wedding
Prepare your wedding invitation kit templates for printing, including the Thank You cards.
If you have ordered your invites from a commercial business, be sure they are ready for you.
Address and mail the wedding invitations.
Shop for and purchase any wedding gifts for your fiancé, attendants, parents and grandparents.
Attend your final dress fitting including wedding accessories.
Spend time wearing your wedding shoes so that you are not crippled before the wedding dance starts.
Test a spray on tan if you plan to tan for your wedding.
Make final decisions on your wedding hair style and any hair color changes should be made.
Pick up your wedding rings from your jewelry shop.
Print out your personalized Thank you cards from your wedding invitation kit templates or purchase generic Thank you cards.
Send any Thank you cards for wedding or shower gifts received over the past weeks.
10 - 14 Days before the Wedding
Confirm with your caterer with one final review of the menu.
Confirm with your officiant the venue and time of ceremony.
Confirm with your photographer, videographer, DJ and/or wedding band.
Confirm your honeymoon reservation and any special requests for the wedding night.
Address any wedding announcements, stamp and set in preparation of mailing on your wedding day.
Final visit to your hairstylist to review any last minute concerns or changes.
One Week before the Wedding
Attend any last minute parties or bridal showers in your honor.
Write any Thank you cards for gifts received at these functions.
Give the caterer your final number of guests expected to attend.
Bridesmaids and Flower Girl confirmation of the time they are expected to arrive.
Purchase travel insurance for the honeymoon if you are leaving the country.
Purchase travelers checks for the honeymoon holiday.
Double check to be sure that travelers checks are accepted and easily cashed at your final destination.
